The Russian Starlight Express Dance Troupe will present dances with different styles and bring audience to an intercontinental tour with stage performances. Their performance will be staged at the Opera House of the National Center for the Performing Arts, from June 30 to July 1, 2008.

Eight dance sections

Their performance has eight sections: Passionate Latin Dance, Grand European Ball, Russian Round Dance, Chinese Fan Dance, Adapted Classical Repertoires, Jazz, Rock and Fancy World.

In the "Passionate Latin Dance" section, The Russian Starlight Express Dance Troupe will present samba from Brazil, tango from Argentina, rumba from Cuba and the Cha-cha.

In the "Grand European Ball" section, the troupe will present audience waltz from Vienna, tango from Paris, foxtrot from London and the song Tulips from Amsterdam.

In the Russian section, Russian Round Dance will be accompanied by the famous song A Night at Moscow Suburb, and it will be the most distinctive Russian program.

In Chinese section, the Fan Dance full of Chinese characteristics will surely provide the Chinese audience with a special surprise.

In Adapted Classical Repertoires, classical works are tinged with modern style. Symphony and opera pieces of great composers like Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and Gershwin become novel background music of dance that are very popular among the audience.

In the Jazz and Rock sections, the troupe will stage old repertoires, bringing audience back into the 1930s-1940s and the 1950s-1960s.

In Fancy World section, the troupe will bring audience a fancy world featuring, dances, flowers and butterflies.
