Jin Gang Zi abacus

Jin Gang Zi abacus is of no difference from the common ones at first sight. It is the beads that bear great value for this precious abacus. The beads are not made of wood; they are a kind of kernels called Jin Gang Zi, which are made from ancient trees that can only be found in the Hainan province. The trees are rare sites, and the kernels also differ from each other in size, making it very difficult to collect enough Jin Gang Zi for an abacus. Even when enough Jin Gang Zi is available, there still lays a problem: the hardness of Jin Gang Zi is so high that you cannot cut it with a normal knife. Therefore, special tools are required to work with this special bead.
