The National Museum of China

The predecessors of the National Museum are the Museum of Chinese History and the Museum of the Chinese Revolution, which share the same building complex. The museum collects and preserves valuable historical and cultural artifacts, in addition to holding high-level exhibitions of artifacts and fine art. Elsewhere its seeks to develop research projects on cultural artifacts, archeology, museum science and the science and technology of the preservation of cultural artifacts.

The Capital Museum

Articles exhibited in the Capital Museum are mainly past years’ collections and unearthed historical heritage of the Beijing area, combined with the latest research results concerning the history, cultural heritage, archeology and relevant subjects of this ancient city. Furthermore, by studying the successful experiences from museums both at home and abroad, modern exhibitions featuring distinctly Beijing characteristics are curated.
