The Water Cube is transformed into a dreamy fairyland for the classic ballet Swan Lake, in which water ballet performers from the Imperial Russian Ballet present a feast that combines the charm of both ballet and sports.

To celebrate the 78th anniversary of the founding of Communist Party of China, extracts from classical, red-themed Peking Operas will be staged. Accompanied by the orchestra of the National Peking Opera Theater, the performance consists of traditional opera programs, productions of the 1960s as well as modern compositions.

The Peony Pavilion, the classic Kunqu Opera, is on at the Imperial Granary, a perfect venue. The Imperial Granary was rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty 600 years ago, exactly at the time the Kunqu Opera was written.
