Student works have drawn attention from drama experts and are considered a contributor to the development of the cultural scene.
Liu Libin is Vice President of the Central Academy of Drama. He explained why student drama has developed fast.
"In recent years, college students got more and more engaged in drama activities with many clubs being formed. The education department of Beijing Municipality has also given great support to the festival and to promote drama culture on campus so as to enrich campus life. The Chinese government has placed prospering the nation's culture and quality education as one of its priorities. Students gain more access to cultural activities and they also find the beauty of them."
Liu Libin said that student performances may not be professional, but their passion for drama is definitely the same as devoted actors and dramatists.
