Taiwan Suihuashan belongs to the Taxaceae Family, with the Latin name ofAmentotaxus formosana. It is only distributed inTaiwanProvincein the southeast ofChina.
It is a sort of small evergreen arbor, about 7 to 10 meters high. It mainly grows in forests on mountainous areas 850 to 1,000 meters above sea level. The distinction betweenAmentotaxus formosanaand Amentotaxus argotaenia is that the white stomatic band is 2 to 3 times wider than thegreen sideband.The seeds are obovate, and the leaves are sickle-shaped. The panicle length of male cone is less than 5 centimeters.
