Duties and Tasks: The duties and tasks of the newspaper is to spread the principles and policies of the Party and the government on cultural and artistic work; spread information of different kinds of literature and art, relics, libraries, museums and social cultural activities; report experiences and model figures and their deeds in building socialism with Chinese characteristics and criticize harmful trends in cultural and artistic circles; introduce positive and healthy foreign culture and art and promote exchanges with foreign countries; and research socialist cultural and artistic theories with Chinese characteristics.
Establishment: There is Dhief Editor's Office, Department of Reporters in Reserve, News Department, Department of Comprehensive News, Supplement Department, Weekend Department, Market Department, and Advertisement and Distribution Department.
