The Central Nationalities Orchestra (CNO), founded in 1960, is an artistic performance institution under the Ministry of Culture.
Duties and tasks: To perform instrumental and vocal pieces that exhibit national characteristics and align with the times and to create modern national musical programs.
Establishment: CNO includes the Performance Department, Stage Art Department, Artistic Creation Office, Band, Vocal Team and Director's Office.
Major achievements: Since 1978, CNO has won national prizes for Such programs as Caprice of the Great Wall Many of its performer shave also won prizes.
