About Caiwu

Cai Wu, born in 1949 in Gansu Province, Wudu County.
He graduated in international politics from the elite Peking University and has a doctorate in law.
He began his career as a lecturer at his alma mater before being transferred to the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League in July 1983.
In July 1997, Cai was appointed vice-minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), which is in charge of exchanges with parties in other countries.
In August 2005, Cai became minister of the Information Office of the State Council.
In March 2008,Cai was appointed minister of Culture.
About Yu Youjun

Former Shanxi Governor Yu Youjun was appointed Chinese vice minister of culture in September, 2007. Yu also takes the post of the Communist Party of China (CPC) chief in the ministry.
Born in 1953, Yu had served as head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Shenzhen mayor, deputy Hunan governor and Shanxi governor. Yu is among a few ranking officials who hold doctoral degrees.
